HELP US DECIDE

The boyfriend and I are in the planning stages for a trip to one of these. We’re taking into consideration everything, from location to weather, prices and overall experience. Both feature similar line-ups from what I’ve read, but feel free to chime in if you feel otherwise.

So, based on your experience/knowledge, to which one would you assist?

p.s. Btw, the 1st picture is a big Coachella poster that didn’t upload the way I originally thought it would. :|

THE NEW GAME FROM REZ-CREATOR TETSUYA MIZUGUCHI IS HERE

If you’ve followed music games since the very inception of the genre on the Dreamcast/PlayStation 2-era, you probably remember Rez, a genre-bending game from developers Q? Entertainment that’s best described as a “musical shooter”. The game saw an HD release on Xbox Live Arcade…a release that hasn’t reached PlayStation Network, and most likely never will. Now, almost 10 years after it’s initial release, it’s creator offers us CHILD OF EDEN, a game for both HD consoles that promises to make us use our bodies to control the game and, I quote, “experience our senses”.

The trailer features the same brand of trippy, artsy visuals & electronic music we’ve come to expect out of any Mizuguchi creation…and I like it. As a fan of the genre, I can’t wait to know more about this project and it’s obvious Move/Kinect integration. This year’s E3 is just beginning: we’ll see.

HERE’S AN AWESOME MUSIC TRACK FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT

“Doubt”, from Delphic’s debut album, Acolyte. Ever since I discovered this guys late-last year they’ve had a prime spot on my iPod. <3

Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz (performed by Judy Kuhn) – Colors of the Wind (from the Pocahontas original soundtrack)

I still think this is one of the best songs Disney ever made.

I think so, too. Menken & Schwartz are a combination made in heaven when it comes to composition. Shame about the film not being as great, narratively-speaking.

“Romantic Flight” from HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON - “Music from the Motion Picture” by John Powell

One of my favorite pieces of music from this gem of an animated film. The scene this serves as musical accompaniment to took my breath away in so many ways I still get goosebumps just thinking about it.

I need Hiccup & Toothless’ adventures on Blu-ray disc. Nao.

The website, while not exactly brimming with new information, is a great introduction for Disney’s new nighttime spectacular offering beautiful visuals inspired by the show and even a “Kaleidoscope” that you can manipulate.

Oh, and the music sounds epic. Disney: release a soundtrack.
