This came totally unexpected to me during Nintendo’s E3 presentation of the game. Sure, I know the sky factored in BIG TIME, but flying on mother-fucking giant birds as seen on the Hylian Shield over a seemingly huge open sky?

The newly-announced PS3 version of Ninokuni: The Another World looks spectacular judging by this trailer. I know for certain I haven’t seen a better-looking overworld map than the one shown here. Now, hopefully this game will be closer to Dragon Quest VIII in quality than the recent drivel Level 5 has put on (White Knight Chronicles, anyone?).

I’LL MOST LIKELY TURN THIS PIECE OF ZELDA ART INTO A DECAL
It’s that awesome.
A bit of backstory: I started following The Legend of Zelda series religiously after I played Ocarina of Time on the fabled N64, the only piece of interactive entertainment that I can say with a straight face changed my life for good. Hell, the thing made me a gamer, basically…so yeah, pretty influential stuff. Yes, this is the same game that was just recently surpassed by Super Mario Galaxy 2 as the best ranked video game of all time. It held that crown for close to twelve years. Crazy, I know.
A JOURNEY I CAN’T WAIT TO PARTAKE IN
This is the new piece of interactive art from thatgamecompany, which means that by default this game has shot from the previously unknown to being one of my most anticipated video games right now in a matter of seconds (or the brief moment it took me to realize that this is Jenova Chen’s new baby). Just the tantalizing promise of “going on a journey of exploration and discovery” driven by the “awe towards the unknown” has me ecstatic about experiencing this the second it releases.
Crossing fingers that’s soon. :)
